Challenge
POLIMI’s new visual identity reflects the vibrancy of the School, with condensed typography and a renewed colour palette, building off the heritage blue to drive brand diversity and greater alignment to it’s future-focused purpose. This was all fronted by a new flexible logotype, designed to be responsive depending on context of application.
With the vision of a holistic brand agreed, efforts turned to translating this across the POLIMI website and digital spaces. This began with a completely refreshed and deeply considered information architecture, built on audience use cases, that defined a clear sitemap for a customer-oriented navigation system. Then, prototyping user flows and pages, the new brand identity evolved into a design system of foundational components that will ensure consistent cross-device branded experiences.
Solution
Constructed through a series of agile sprints, working hand-in-hand with a wider development team, the transformed digital space delivered a refreshed design system, optimised filter functionality and introduced a renewed navigation system to create a customer-first experience. All, which together with the new brand, will support POLIMI continue its inspiring path of innovating for a better world.
POLIMI Graduate School of Management along with its new identity and website was launched on 5th May 2022 and was awarded a Red Dot Design Award.
